WHAT YOU WILL PRACTISE
Be ready on an ordinary shift.
Understand the five inspection themes, distinguish observed practice from documented claims, select evidence for a specific control, and decide when a finding is actually closed.
INSPECTION READINESS EXPLAINED
What does an inspector need to see?
An inspection examines actual food-safety practice as well as available records. Learn how to respond honestly, identify relevant evidence and verify corrective actions, without memorising a statutory checklist.
Official sources: FSSAI Schedule 4 hygiene requirements and FSSAI inspection checklists.
What does FSSAI inspect in a restaurant or hotel kitchen?
Applicable inspection themes include facilities, food handling and operational controls, sanitation, personal hygiene, training and complaints. The actual checklist depends on the food-business category.
What makes audit evidence credible?
An original, relevant observation is more useful when linked to the applicable control, any deviation, the actions actually taken, responsibility and verification. A blank form alone is not evidence of a completed control.
Is CSA's 47-point framework the universal FSSAI checklist?
No. The CSA 47-point framework is an internal readiness tool, separate from legal requirements and the applicable official inspection checklist.
