Food-safety evidence ready when you need it.
Replace paper registers, spreadsheets and scattered evidence with structured checks, corrective actions and searchable records — so kitchen teams can run food safety every day and leaders can retrieve the proof quickly.
Built for restaurants, hotels and multi-site hospitality. Configure daily records around your Food Control Plan, operating procedures and verification requirements.
Know what is done, overdue and still open.
Your Food Control Plan only works if the operation can show it is being followed.
Under the Food Act 2014, many food-service businesses operate under a registered Food Control Plan. Verification checks whether the plan is being followed effectively and whether required records are being kept.
- Most food-service businesses can use Simply Safe & Suitable. MPI provides the template Food Control Plan for restaurants, cafés, takeaways and caterers.
- Records matter. The plan identifies information that must be recorded, and businesses can use MPI templates or their own records if the required information is captured.
- Verification is ongoing. Councils or independent verifiers check food-safety practices and records.

Do the control. Record it. Follow through. Retrieve it for verification.
CSA does not replace a registered Food Control Plan. It provides a digital operating layer for records, corrective actions, documents and evidence used to show that the plan is being followed.
See CSA FSMS in action.
Start with the management view, then see how teams handle evidence and corrective actions at the frontline.
See the whole operation before you chase anyone.
Completion, open corrective actions and properties needing attention are visible in one management view.
Turn required controls and records into the daily workflow.
The Food Control Plan remains the governing document; CSA makes day-to-day execution, follow-up and retrieval easier to manage.
Food temperatures
Receiving, storage, cooking, cooling, reheating and holding checks can be scheduled with applicable limits shown on screen.
Food Control Plan records
Build required record keeping into the operating day rather than relying on paper forms being filed correctly.
Corrective actions
Failed checks remain visible until the action, owner and close-out are recorded.
One FSMS, configured for the complexity of the operation.
Run the controls without turning food safety into paperwork.
Daily checks, evidence, corrective actions and management review in one workflow.
Control multiple kitchens, outlets and service periods.
Keep property-wide evidence, roles, documents and corrective actions connected.
See where attention is needed across the portfolio.
Standardise core controls while retaining property-level settings and accountability.
Evidence should not be quietly rewritten after the event.
CSA is designed around attributed, traceable records and controlled access rather than editable spreadsheets.
Append-only evidence
Submitted records are preserved. Corrections are new entries rather than silent overwrites.
Server-attributed identity
The signed-in session establishes who submitted the record, the role and property context.
Offline continuity
Operational entries can be held on the device and synchronised when connectivity returns.
Start with the operation you already have.
CSA is configured around your properties, kitchens, responsibilities and existing food-safety procedures.
Map the operation
Properties, kitchens, service models, equipment, existing records and controls.
Build the working controls
Forms, frequencies, limits, roles and corrective-action rules.
Launch and verify
Train the team, monitor completion and adjust the setup based on real use.
Pricing is scoped to the operation, not restricted by feature tiers.
We quote based on property count, operational complexity, configuration and implementation requirements. The standard FSMS feature set remains complete.

Designed around how professional kitchens actually work.
CSA FSMS grew from recurring operating problems: incomplete records, weak corrective-action follow-through and evidence that becomes difficult to retrieve when it matters.
Questions
Does CSA FSMS replace our Food Control Plan?
No. Your registered Food Control Plan remains the governing food-safety plan. CSA digitises operating records, corrective actions and supporting evidence.
Can CSA support Simply Safe & Suitable record keeping?
Yes. CSA can be configured around the records and checks that apply to the business. The setup should follow the current version of the plan and the operation's activities.
Can records be retrieved for verification?
Yes. Record Explorer lets authorised users filter the history and export the relevant evidence set as CSV or PDF.
Can records be edited or deleted?
Submitted operational evidence is designed to be append-only. A correction is made as a new entry while the original remains in history.
Is CSA FSMS endorsed by MPI or New Zealand Food Safety?
No. CSA FSMS is independent software. It supports food-safety management, record keeping and verification readiness; it does not provide regulatory approval or certification.
